Position Yourself for Victory
Apostle Marla Eash | Oct. 4th, 2026
1. Righteousness, Healing, and Obedience
- Righteousness is all of who God is, and it is always shining on us.
- Healing is the bread of every home. Stand for healing in everything, including the little things that come up. Make the decision: I am healed. My home is healed, and I am going to receive that healing.
- God never asks us to do the whole thing. He asks us to obey Him.
- Pray, “Lord, what would You have me do?” God is growing the capacity inside every one of us.
Personal application
Bring one need in your home before the Lord in prayer. Ask, “Lord, what would You have me do?” and follow the instruction you receive.
2. Jesus Is the Author and Finisher of Our Faith
Hebrews 12:2
- Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, despised the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Jesus completed the redemptive work His Father gave Him. His faith obeyed His Father, and the grace in Him accomplished what God wanted to do.
- Jesus is the gospel: His coming to earth, His life, His death, His shed blood, and His resurrection.
- He became a man, was tested in every aspect of life, yet was without sin. He became the holy sacrifice and our redemption.
- Salvation is deliverance from the molestation of the enemy. The enemy’s threats and the dialogue that says, “This is where you tap out,” are lies.
- Finisher means perfecter: to carry through completely, accomplish, finish, bring to an end, or fulfill an event, prophecy, or Scripture.
- Keep your observation and attention on Him for every victory. He authored your faith, and He will finish it.
Personal application
Identify an unfinished situation that has occupied your attention. Turn your focus to Jesus as the author and finisher of your faith, and take the next step of obedience.
3. Remember What God Has Finished
Psalm 136
- Remember what God has accomplished, healed, and provided. After every remembrance, declare: His mercy endures forever.
- His mercy continues to go before us in our salvation. His mercy comes behind the seed and brings the greater harvest.
- There is a finishing anointing over this house and over your life. Turn away from the multitude of opposition and focus on Jesus and His righteousness.
- God is establishing faith and position, bringing increase, and preparing His people to take territory in 2027.
Personal application
Write down specific ways God has provided, healed, or brought you through difficulty. Thank Him for each one and respond, “His mercy endures forever.”
4. Pay Attention to the Narrative
- Where we turn our focus and attention must be our first priority. Whatever the dialogue or narrative is in your mind, that is where your focus is.
- Finances, health, children, work, business, family, and the unrest in the nation can each carry a narrative the enemy wants you to focus on.
- None of it has taken God by surprise. He knows the end from the beginning.
- If you have received Jesus as Lord and Savior, you are the righteousness of Christ Jesus. The blessing and provision of His Word and His life are yours.
- Let righteousness become your narrative: I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That overshadows the other narratives that try to affect your life.
Personal application
Notice the thought or narrative you return to most often. Bring it before the Lord and redirect your attention to who you are in Christ Jesus.
5. Substance Is Already Available
Genesis 1:1–2; Hebrews 11:1
- God prepared, formed, fashioned, and created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and the Spirit of God moved over the waters.
- The substance was present before God spoke the rest of creation into form. The energy and power were present, and then He spoke to it.
- God will never run out of substance. There is substance for everything we need.
- Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. What we hope for already has substance to make it so, even when it looks impossible.
- As we follow Him faithfully, He places desires in our hearts. Hope is the vision God is placing in your heart for what He wants to do.
Personal application
Name the hope God has placed in your heart. When the situation looks impossible, return your attention to His provision instead of rehearsing the lack.
6. Hope Continually and Hold Fast
Psalm 71:14; Isaiah 40:31; Hebrews 10:23
- “I will hope continually” is joined with “I will praise You yet more and more.” Hope has praise behind it.
- Waiting on the Lord means looking with hope and expectation. Those who hope in Him renew their strength.
- Do not allow the narrative of everything around you to dilute the hope God has placed in your heart.
- Do not keep observing or regretting past mistakes. God is bigger than your mistake and knows how to get you back to where He wants you.
- Repent, ask Him to cleanse your heart and conscience, and cover your destiny with the blood of Jesus.
- Put your attention, praise, words, thoughts, conversation, obedience, and observation back on what He has placed in your heart.
- Hold fast the confession of your hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Personal application
Choose one concern that has weakened your hope. Bring it to God, thank Him for His faithfulness, and hold fast to your confession of hope.
7. Obey without Bargaining
- What matters in every fight of faith is obedience to what God is speaking to your heart.
- Do what He says without bargaining with His Word or instruction.
- Do not trim His instruction to what is comfortable, convenient for your timing or budget, or suited to the commitment you want to make.
- If you have not seen the finishing of what He placed in your heart, return to what He asked you to do and consider whether you followed through all the way.
Personal application
Revisit an instruction you believe God has given you. Consider whether you have trimmed it for convenience, and identify the step needed to follow through.
8. Seek the Word of the Lord
2 Chronicles 18:6–21
- Jehoshaphat sought God, walked in His commandments, and delighted in His ways.
- Ahab wanted to go to war against Ramoth Gilead. Jehoshaphat asked whether he had inquired of a prophet for the Word of the Lord.
- Four hundred prophets told Ahab to go to battle, but Jehoshaphat was not convinced. He asked for a prophet of the Lord.
- Ahab said there was still Micaiah, but he hated him because he did not prophesy good concerning him.
- The messenger pressured Micaiah to agree with the other prophets. Micaiah answered, “As the Lord lives, whatever my God says, that will I speak.”
- Micaiah described Israel scattered like sheep without a shepherd and exposed the lying spirit in the mouths of Ahab’s prophets.
- Do not become accustomed to hearing only what you want to hear. Convenience can make a lie easy to accept.
Personal application
Before accepting advice simply because it is what you want to hear, ask whether it agrees with God’s Word. Choose truth over convenience.
9. Return to Your Source after a Mistake
2 Chronicles 19:2–3; 20:2–12
- Ahab imprisoned Micaiah, and Israel and Judah went into battle. Ahab was killed; by God’s mercy, Jehoshaphat returned safely.
- Jehu confronted Jehoshaphat for helping the wicked, but also acknowledged that he had prepared his heart to seek the Lord.
- A great multitude came against Judah. Jehoshaphat feared, set himself to seek the Lord, and assembled the people to seek God and fast.
- “We have no power against this great multitude,” and “nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
- Even after his mistake, Jehoshaphat knew how to return to God and put his focus and attention on his source.
- When the narrative in your mind feels like a great multitude, turn your eyes back to the Lord.
Personal application
If a mistake has left you discouraged, return to God in prayer. Acknowledge your need and pray, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
10. Position Yourself and Stand
2 Chronicles 20:13–19
- All Judah stood before the Lord with their little ones, wives, and children. The Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel in the assembly.
- Do not be afraid or dismayed because of the great multitude. The battle is not yours, but God’s.
- The enemy wants you terrified and shattered with fear so you observe what he is doing instead of the substance, hope, and Word God has provided.
- You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourself. Take your stand. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
- Go out against them, for the Lord is with you. Jehoshaphat and the people bowed before the Lord in worship.
- They had to shift their attention from the multitude of armies to the words God was speaking.
Personal application
Identify what is making you fearful. Read the instruction to position yourself and stand, then shift your attention from the threat to the Lord’s presence.
11. Believe and Be Established
2 Chronicles 20:20
- “Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”
- Being established means staying with the Lord. Make up your mind about what you believe.
- Do not step back and say, “We will see if that happens.” Respond to the Word of the Lord with faith.
- You will not know the whole picture. God has a word for every situation; listen for what He is saying.
- As we move into 2027, position yourself and be established in the Word of the Lord.
Personal application
Make a clear decision about where you will stand in the situation before you. Express your trust in God and remain attentive to His Word.
12. Purpose to Sing and Praise
2 Chronicles 20:21–23
- Jehoshaphat appointed those who would sing to the Lord and praise the beauty of holiness. He gave the people a purpose: sing and praise.
- “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.” Praise the beauty of the righteousness we have received through the blood of Jesus.
- The enemy was still in front of them. They did not wait for a feeling or emotion before obeying the instruction to praise.
- When they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir. The enemies turned against one another and were defeated.
- They did not have to fight, but they had to position themselves and establish what they believed.
- Worship God, sing His praises, glorify Him, and remember what He has already done.
Personal application
Choose to praise God before the circumstances change. Thank Him for His enduring mercy even when you do not feel confident or see the answer.
13. Activate What God Has Prepared
Hebrews 4:3
- God had prepared the ambushes before Jehoshaphat knew he needed them. The substance was already there.
- His works were completed from the foundation of the earth. The ambushes were waiting for the praise of God’s people.
- They chose to believe the Lord, be established in His Word, and praise Him. Their praise set into action what He had prepared.
- Do not allow the enemy to close your mouth or keep your attention on everything coming against you.
- Lift your voice, walk through your home, and declare the praises of God. Let the walls of your house know your voice of praise and worship.
- Declare that the blood of Jesus rules and reigns over your home, children, and life.
Personal application
Make praise audible in your home. Thank God for His faithfulness over your household and declare your trust in what He has prepared.
14. Praise Expresses Where You Are Established
2 Chronicles 20:17, 21
- Position yourself in His righteousness and establish that you are in Christ Jesus. Declare His glory and glorify Him.
- Praise puts a demand on the qualities, deeds, and attributes of God. Singing includes entreating, supplicating, and proclaiming with joy; praise is adoration and thanksgiving.
- Enter into praise rather than merely watching the musicians or observing what is happening around you.
- The people did not praise to convince God to give them victory. They praised because God said they already had the victory.
- Your praise is an expression of where you are established. Their outward praise made that position visible.
- The singers went before the army. Through their actions, they declared that they believed God before going into the battle.
Personal application
When you worship, give your attention to God’s character and faithfulness. Let your praise express trust in Him rather than an attempt to persuade Him.
15. Let Go of the How
Mark 4; 2 Chronicles 20:12, 21
- Jehoshaphat admitted, “We do not know what to do.” God did not explain the military mechanics of how the armies would be defeated.
- The seed sprouts and grows, but the man does not know how. Put faith in what God has said He will do.
- Judah had two realities before them: they could see they were surrounded, or believe that the battle belonged to God. Faith had to choose which voice would govern their response.
- Faith does not pretend the army is not there. Faith refuses to give that army greater authority than God’s Word.
- They sang about God’s character and enduring mercy. Their attention moved from the size of the enemy to His steadfast love.
- Praise changed their focus before God changed their circumstance. Be established in Christ Jesus: I do not know the how, but He has the how.
Personal application
Name the “how” you have been trying to solve. Acknowledge the real difficulty, then choose to give God’s Word greater authority over your response.
16. Fight the Good Fight of Faith
1 Timothy 6:12
- Fight the good fight of faith in the conflict with evil. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and for which you made the good confession.
- Good is beautiful to look at: excellent, surpassing, genuine, approved, praiseworthy, honorable, and affecting the mind agreeably.
- In the struggle, set your mind on what agrees with what is genuine, approved, and praiseworthy from God.
- Look at the One who is beautiful and holy and who has made us righteous.
- Take hold of eternal life and appropriate the blood of Jesus. His blood covers what was, what is, what is coming, and your destiny.
Personal application
Examine what you are giving your attention to during the struggle. Return your focus to what is genuine, approved, and praiseworthy from God.
17. Participate in the Finished Work
Hebrews 12:2
- In communion, we participate in the finished work of Jesus. His blood has made us righteous and established us in righteousness.
- Consider where you are established and which narrative you listen to. Do not bargain with God’s ways or minimize His words.
- The enemy comes to convince you that you cannot win. Where you focus and where you are established matters.
- Make the decision: I am established in my faith, in the Word, in my salvation, and in my righteousness.
- Look at how big your God is rather than the multitude surrounding you.
- Do not step back. Step into what God is speaking. His Spirit and grace are in you to take hold of what He has promised.
Personal application
As you prepare for communion, consider where your confidence is established. Turn your attention to Jesus and His finished work.
18. Communion and the Response of Faith
- Receive the bread in remembrance of His body broken for you and the cup in remembrance of the new covenant in His blood.
- Be mindful throughout the week: I am being established in who I am in Christ Jesus.
- Put down the narrative the enemy has tried to convince you of. Rise in the morning with praise that honors the Lord.
- Receive His words of life as they rise in your spirit and return to your remembrance.
- Step into who He is, His deeds, and His attributes.
Personal application
Remember the meaning of the bread and the cup. Carry that remembrance into the week by beginning your mornings with praise and attention to His words.
19. Stay Established When Opposition Comes
Mark 10:30
- Jesus promised a hundredfold return, with persecution. Persecution includes being pursued in a hostile manner and being harassed.
- Be established in righteousness when opposition comes. Continue taking the territory and receiving what God has for you.
- Activate what God has given: the substance and the ambushes He has prepared against the enemy.
- Believe in the Lord your God, that you may be established.
- Turn your attention from what the enemy is doing. Turn your praise to the Lord and be established in who you are in Christ Jesus.
- Mark this message in your heart and spirit as you prepare for 2027.
Personal application
When opposition comes, notice whether you return to fear or remain established in faith. Respond with prayer, praise, and continued obedience.
20. Be Established as You Go
Personal application
Carry this purpose into your week: be established in Christ, praise God, and listen for His voice.
Your Next Step
Believe in the Lord your God and be established. Turn your attention from the pressures surrounding you to who you are in Christ Jesus. Put this message into practice through praise, prayer, and obedience.
