Your Victory Can Come Out of Nowhere: His Power Is Present
Psalm 16:6
The teaching calls us to feed on God’s Word, respond to His instructions, and draw near to His presence. His power is present, even before we see evidence of victory.
The teaching calls us to feed on God’s Word, respond to His instructions, and draw near to His presence. His power is present, even before we see evidence of victory.
1. God never runs out of paths
- God has many pathways to bring us where He is taking us and to bring His provision into our lives. A job, pension, inheritance, or familiar source of supply can become the one pathway we depend upon.
- When an avenue closes or a detour comes, God is faithful to open another avenue. Do not keep returning to the old road closed sign when He is leading you onto a new path.
- His paths keep us in His identity, purpose, provision, and fullness. Many times His paths and our victories appear to come out of nowhere.
Scriptures used in the message
Psalm 16:6, identified in the message as the Passion translation: “Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come from following you.”
Psalm 23:3: “He restores my soul and he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Water the seed
Marla instructed the church to continue watering the seed through declaration as the building program moves forward. She connected God’s righteousness with the experience of His healing, provision, and favor.

2. Feed on the bread of the Word
Healing is the bread of every home
- In the encounter recorded in Matthew 15 and Mark 7, the woman sought deliverance for her daughter. Marla emphasized that the woman refused the bait of offense and kept her focus on the bread of life.
- The woman believed that even a crumb from the Master’s table was enough. Jesus commended her faith, and her daughter was healed from that moment.
Matthew 15:27: “Yes, Lord. Yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from the master’s table.”
Bread is daily nourishment
- Bread represents the Word of God that feeds us in His covenant, righteousness, promises, wisdom, understanding, and miraculous power.
- Bread is basic, daily sustenance rather than a luxury. Marla taught that divine healing is part of the bread we partake of every day.
John 6:51: “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.”
Marla connected eating this bread with continually receiving the Word, appropriating it in our lives, and becoming doers of it.
Shift your attention
- With the Holy Spirit present within us, we can shift our focus from what we see and feel, our emotions, and our reasoning to His presence and power.
Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Apply the same consistency to financial provision
Marla announced financial breakthrough over the house and called the church to stand on the Word concerning finances in the same way it had stood for healing. She instructed the congregation to water its supply, enforce breakthrough, rebuke the devourer, and allow past images of lack and fear of failure to be rooted out.

3. Respond in faith and draw near
Be willing and obedient
- The message quotes, “If you’re willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land.” Marla explained willingness as agreement with God’s Word and what He is speaking.
- She urged quick repentance and correction where there has been disobedience. Prompt obedience breaks old patterns of disobedience.
- Using the example of giving a pledge, she encouraged a quick response to God’s instruction rather than unnecessary delay.
Do not draw back
Hebrews 10:38: “Now the just shall live by faith, but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure.”
Marla described drawing back as withdrawing, becoming timid about who we are in Christ, and hesitating to address what intimidates us. She emphasized staying aware of His presence and the righteousness we have in Christ.
Hebrews 11:6 teaches that those who come to God must believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Resist the enemy and draw near to God
James 4:7–8: “Therefore, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”
The instruction is to keep feeding on the Word and resisting the enemy while also drawing near to God. Marla emphasized both parts of this response.
His presence prepares the way
In Isaiah 40:3–5, the message describes a highway in the desert, valleys lifted, mountains brought low, crooked places straightened, and rough places made smooth. Marla identified the revealed glory of the Lord with His presence and described healing and unexpected provision as ways we discover His glory.
Nevertheless at Your word
Luke 5:5: “Nevertheless, at your word.” Peter’s response after a night of unsuccessful fishing illustrated obedience when natural effort has produced no result. Ephesians 1:19 and the following verses were used to emphasize God’s mighty power toward believers and Christ’s authority over every principality and power.

4. The Lord is my banner
God is the source of the power
In Exodus 3:2–4, Moses encountered a bush burning without being consumed. Marla emphasized that the bush was not the source of the fire. God’s manifested presence explained what natural resources could not explain.
Moses witnessed the plagues, the Red Sea, manna, and water from the rock. Through these experiences, he came to recognize God’s presence as the source of Israel’s supply and victories.
The battle with Amalek
Exodus 17:8 and the following verses form the central account. Deuteronomy 25 is also mentioned in connection with attacks against the weak and those at the rear.
- Joshua went out to fight while Moses stood on the hill with the rod of God. Aaron and Hur accompanied Moses.
- When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed. When his hand lowered, Amalek prevailed.
- As Moses grew tired, a stone was placed beneath him, and Aaron and Hur supported his hands until sunset. Joshua defeated Amalek.
- The victory involved the obedience of Moses, Aaron, Hur, Joshua, and the men fighting. Marla emphasized dependence on God’s presence and His strategy.
Lift up what God has spoken
The rod represented God’s presence and what He was speaking. Marla connected raised hands with declaring His praises, His faithfulness, His Word, and His deliverance. Her call was to keep magnifying God rather than the enemy’s intimidation.
Remember the victory
Exodus 17:14–15: God instructed Moses to write the event as a memorial and recount it to Joshua. Moses built an altar and called it “The Lord is my banner.”
Marla applied the memorial to the remembrance of slavery, weakness, vulnerabilities, and intimidating giants. God wants His presence and His victories to shape our identity.

5. Keep your posture of faith
His power has not changed
When Moses lowered his hands, God had not lost His power. Moses’ posture changed. Marla called the church to lift its hands and lift up the Word as it moves toward 2027.
Examples of victory in the teaching
- Jehoshaphat and Judah praised while God fought. The message emphasized standing in position, seeing the Lord’s salvation, and worshiping as the enemy was defeated.
- In 2 Kings 6:16 and the surrounding account, the servant’s eyes were opened to the horses and chariots of fire. The heavenly provision was already present before the servant could see it.
- In 2 Kings 7:6 and the surrounding account, four men approached the enemy camp and discovered that the Syrian army had fled. God had caused the army to hear the sound of a great host.
- The message also recalled the Red Sea, Jericho, and Gideon’s army being reduced from 32,000 to 300 as examples of victory beyond natural ability.
The presence matters more than the destination
Moses’ response was, “If thy presence goes not with me, carry us not up hence.” Marla emphasized that the greatest gift was God dwelling among His people. Moses did not want the promised land without the One who promised it.
2 Corinthians 4:7: “But we have this treasure in an earthen vessel,” so that the excellence of the power is of God and not of us. Marla applied this treasure to the Holy Spirit living within believers.
God has already gone there
Marla explained that victories appearing to come from nowhere come from a God who has already gone there. His presence and power are not limited by circumstances, the enemy, or death.
Revelation 1:17 and the following words of Jesus were used to emphasize that He lives forever and holds the keys of Hades and death. Marla taught that Jesus entered death and conquered it.
Isaiah 45:2: “I will go before you” and make crooked places straight, breaking gates and cutting bars of iron. The obstacles are real, but they are not greater than God’s power.

6. Draw near and consecrate your life
Become aware of the presence you carry
- Marla called the church into a new place of consecration and awareness of the Holy Spirit: His presence lives in us, goes with us, and makes a way for what we need.
- She connected the coming breakthrough with drawing near to God. Even while resisting the enemy, we are to lean into His presence.
- The closing call was to respond to the areas God is asking us to consecrate, without hesitation, trusting Him to lead and guide us into a greater path.
Continue partaking of the Word
At communion, Marla connected the bread with Jesus’ body and the Word received daily, and the cup with the new covenant in His blood. She called the congregation to continue feeding on the Word throughout the week and to let it build a new place of provision and breakthrough.
Mark what God has spoken
After the victory, Moses built an altar. Marla invited the congregation to mark God’s instruction rather than simply move on, so it could return to and recount what He had spoken. The closing prayer focused on consecrated hearts and faith, renewed strength in weakness, hearing His voice, and refusing intimidation.
Declaration spoken in the message
Repetition from the congregation and transcription interruptions have been removed below.
I speak and I prophesy over the seed that I’ve sown, that I am sowing. You lead me in Your paths of righteousness. I prophesy deliverance, victory, and prosperity are upon my path today. Today my path shines brighter and brighter with enduring mercy, steadfastness. I am established in all of my ways, restored, provided for, and furnished. Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come from following You. I am established on the paths of righteousness.
