When Worship Becomes Your Breakthrough – Apostle Marla Eash | Rockford Faith Center

When Worship Becomes Your Breakthrough In this message, Apostle Marla Eash asks a simple but piercing question: “What does your worship look like?” She explains that real worship is more than songs on a Sunday or a holiday prayer at Thanksgiving—it’s a daily habit of gratitude, praise, and surrender that shapes our inner life and our responses to pressure.

Using Ephesians 1:3, she reminds us that God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing. Worship, then, is our response of gratitude for what He has already provided, not begging for what we don’t have. She challenges us to worship until it becomes comfortable, because the enemy fights our worship—he knows our breakthrough, peace, and soul prosperity are found there.

Apostle Marla walks through the examples of Enoch and David, showing how their lifestyles of fellowship and worship made them stand out. Worship is described as:

Presenting our bodies as living sacrifices (Romans 12:1)

Aligning our hearts with God’s will instead of empty lip service (Isaiah 29:13)

A continual choice to meditate on God’s Word and delight in His law (Psalm 1, Psalm 63)

She teaches that what we worship is what has the loudest voice in our life and will most likely determine our outcomes. Worship is how we “put pressure” on the things that are pressuring us—the lies of the enemy, financial lack, fear, and discouragement. Like the woman with the issue of blood (Matthew 9), worship is that internal, repeated faith-confession that reaches out and touches Jesus.

Drawing from Deuteronomy 30, she shows that worship is our way of choosing life. When we withhold worship, we give more room to the enemy; when we worship, we resist him and he must flee (James 4:7–8). Worship also enlarges our hearts (Psalm 119:32, Ephesians 3:19) so we can receive more of God’s love, more of His presence, and safely carry the increase He wants to give us.

The message ends with a prophetic call over Faith Center and over every listener: step out of distraction, out of the “mire,” and into a new level of worship in your home, your car, your inner life. Let worship become your default response, the atmosphere your children hear, and the place where God ushers in the next wave of His glory and provision.
