This Easter Sermon Reveals What You've Been Missing. Is Christ Alive in You? Resurrection Sunday

The teaching begins in Isaiah 53, showing that Jesus was despised, rejected, and bore our griefs, sorrows, and sins. It explains that Jesus experienced every emotion—fear, anxiety, sorrow, and grief—yet did not allow it to overtake Him. The message then moves into the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus faced intense sorrow, anguish, and spiritual pressure to the point of death. He prayed to the Father, not to avoid the cross, but to be sustained through the suffering so He could fulfill the full plan of redemption. Jesus’ victory is revealed through His obedience, His sacrifice, and His resurrection. His blood paid the full price for sin, removed the curse, and gave humanity access to God. The teaching connects this to the story of Jonah, showing how “lying vanities” cause people to forsake the mercy of God. Just as Jonah cried out from the depths, we are called to turn back to God and receive His mercy. The message concludes with the finished work of Jesus on the cross: “It is finished.” The debt has been paid in full, and salvation is available through His grace and mercy to all who believe.
